haha! I grew up with a dad who was into mountaineering in the days way before cell phones and gps. My mum used to fake disappointment every time he made it back safely. I think she was joking!?! Then, when I was old enough, I would go too. We got "slightly" lost several times due to weather in the Scottish hills. We were sworn to forget to tell my mum about those adventures!
Almost 20 year ago I married a guy who is into extreme sports. I much prefer him alive and unharmed but at the same time, I wouldn't want him sitting home, bored on the couch, because there's a small chance he could get hurt/lost. The good news, he has nothing to say to me about cycling being a dangerous hobby
