You could do a three week stay in Portland. Go to St Honore's Boulangerie at 6 am each morning, grab a seat and start watching the TIVO'd broadcast over a cup of excellent coffee with a crowd of Tour fans. Freshly baked croissants as soon as they are made. (The bakery opens one hour early for the Tour, so the baking is a little behind, but it will be as fresh and French as it gets.)
