There are electricbike, electricbike review, electricbike report; also ebikesca has some tutorials. You should get plenty of advice here, but endless sphere has some very knowledgeable members. Read a lot and then ask questions. I've had very good success with a $700 Dillenger 36V, 350w front hub kit that was easy to install, but others have had success with other products. If you can afford BionX, they are a premier kit. Unless you're very handy I would recommend a "plug and play" kit for the first time around.
