Thank you all for the warm welcome, can't wait to get started. It looks like the forecast is rain for the majority of the wee, so I should be able to get at least the tear down complete. Totally lost my clay bar so I have to stop down at autozone one of these days aafter work.

Plans have changed; I just sent payment for 7900 DT shifters, 12-28 Tiagra cassette, 6700 chain, DA cables/housings, and leather bar tape. I have a lead on a pair of beautiful vintage campy brakes (not sure of year or model) and crankset. I won't use the crankset but its so cheap that I can't resist.

The stem is really odd. The black is foam. I have no idea how to remove it, but I haven't really given it a good look. There's got to be a bolt on the underside or something.
