"Spare" bike?
I have five bikes that fill various roles/duties. Any of them could be considered 'spare', but for which duty?
I have my trusty fender/rack-equipped '75 Fuji S-10S that I bought new and is my 'best friend' that has been relegated to a dedicated tourer, but I also have the Univega that I ride for 'faster' fair-weather rides, as well as a full-fendered MUTT (it may be a Raleigh mtb) that I use for crushed-stone rail-trails, the rusty/ugly Schwinn Woodlands that I use as a 'pit bike' at the dragstrip, and a garbage-picked Huffy for trips to the corner store. Many of these can be used for other purposes if needed, but each has their primary intended purpose, some better than others. So are those 'Spares'????
