I'm not sure what a 'like a bike's is.
There is a reason why road cycling as an activity is dominated by higher income earners...equipment is expensive, even for low level stuff.
The guy I responded to said "anyone" not "everyone", though. He said $1000 isn't affordable to "anyone". For someone it is, so... yeah.
