Get the bike out for a good climb you're used to do, climb in the saddle and out of the saddle, see how if feels, ride that hill down fast, quickly brake to a stop at the end.
If you feel good, in control, at all time, you got a good bike for you. Pay attention to the fit, the geometry, does it feel a bit large?

If there's anything that makes you hesitate, you'll never feel you're on the good bike, don't tell yourself that "you're gonna get used to it". You probably won't.
