I recently got a mixte which came with a road bike saddle, which is actually fairly wide compared to some (~170mm). When I sat on the bike, it was immediately a "Nope! Nope! Nope!" with alarm bells going off in my body. I think my sit bones are kind of wrapping around the outside of the seat. I tried different angles and all the saddles in the house and none of them were wide enough for my sit bones, even if I tried leaning really aggressively. I think a b17 would be wide enough after trying [MENTION=396717]nelsonmilum[/MENTION]'s flyer, which was just about right, but I don't want to spend that much on this particular bike, and the nose ridge on it was uncomfortable. I'm leaning towards the VO wide microfibre but shipping from there has been at least $30 in the past. I am wondering if people have other options, preferably not a big ugly Terry or other padded monstrosity, and preferably with bag loops. Cut outs aren't totally necessary if it has a nice flat nose. I haven't gotten a proper measure yet, but my sit bones sit just outside the edge of the seat when I'm on the 170mm saddle. Any ideas?
