At the $700-800 range, weight still won't be a significant factor with the bikes and the frames. The frames likely won't be made of any special materials as on higher end models, and the manufacturers won't be making any significant effort to produce light bikes/frames in that price range. You're still better off getting a bike based on fit, not because the frame is the lightest available within the $700-800 price range.
