3speedslow - Good question. I have a 1955 Phillips that is a nice ride, but extremely heavy. It's something I'd ride around my neighborhood and wouldn't try to take it on transit to go visit, for example, Portland. This Twenty is lighter, smaller, more nimble and puts a smile on my face.

Sixty Fiver - yes, I filed the right side brake pad slot as well as the mounting hole. Looks like that pads got torqued a bit because it didn't look like that after I installed. I'll take a look. I used a Dremel as well as a round file. I love the look of the front Tektro R559, but would have to make a drop bolt to mount it on the rear AND it doesn't have a "bottom to top" cable routing option.
For anyone who wants to know, the Tektro 800A brake caliper has the ability to swap the barrel adjuster & crimp bolt. I had to put the barrel adjuster mounting piece on the front side of the caliper, because positioned on the rear side would not allow the calipers to open widely. So, the cable sort of angles from the barrel adjuster to the pinch bolt. Oh well.
I currently cannot reinstall the Pletscher rack because the brake arm is in the way. A drop bolt would remedy that situation. I have a nice, silver, plain Jim Blackburn rack with a single, adjustable stay that would link more "clean" than the Pletscher.
Bike has a 44 tooth chainring with a 15t cog. A forum member just sent me the same heron crankset with 48 tooth chainring. Not sure if this bike ever came with a 48 tooth? I really just needed the left crank arm but he sent the entire thing (didn't want to separate). Would have to decide the gearing and buy a longer chain.
