Carbon frames and disc brakes go back to the 1970s.
Built-in lights might not be an advancement in everyone's eyes.
I'm not sure about e-bikes. I seem to remember reading about electric cars going back to the early 1900s. Perhaps there were early electric motorcycles, also?
