I normally go sans shoes outside of work or on the bike. As such I leave my work shoes at the office. However twice I have left them in my car for some reason and didn't have them at work. The first time my wife brought them for me. The second time (recently) I just wore my Bontrager SSR shoes at work all day, which was no big deal really.
I also bike to work in these shoes. But I leave my work boots at work.....so I haven't had the problem of having to wear them all day. I don't they are too great for walking around.
