You have ridden the BikeE for 8 hours in one day? How far? You deserve a medal for that in any case. +1 to those who told you to forget the BikeE. It was my first recumbent but only until I could find a replacement. The only LWB I have experience on is an older Linear. I could ride it 50+ miles but maybe not several days in a row. The Tour Easy makes a very fine touring bike. Know a fellow who has ridden his from Las Vegas to LA more than once. He's fast enough to ride with the road bike riders. Trikes are great for comfort. They are a lot heavier than your ultralight road bike. You can't beat the comfort and ability to stop and start back up on a hill.

One thing about trikes is that cars give me a lot more room than I ever got riding a DF bike.
