Interesting, as the supposed 1985 one I owned had that same crown yet with the newer style C....but the engraving on the seatstay cap didn't have it.
The usual method for cold setting is to measure the inner spacing with a scale that's good in millimeters, use either the all-thread or Sheldon's method to flex the two rear triangles open, measure to see if it's laterally even, then use a dropout alignment tool (can also be made with all thread) to get the faces again parallel. If you do that the QRs should tighten well again. I have a friend who did this to his DeRosa, and he said it was surprisingly hard. I had it done to a Columbus SL (most likely) Mondonico, and the job went smoothly and the bike was perfect. Cold-setting cost about $45 with the alignment checked.
