First of all, if you're cranking out a 58 x 13 you're a badass.
Next, I'll mirror others and ask what tensioner you're using and also would request pics if possible.
Myself, I have converted two bikes using the first tensioner pictured here with no problems with either bike. One is a mtb bike, the other a road bike.
