Numbness is normally a saddle issue. But it can also be a how you're sitting on the seat issue. Make sure that you're actually sitting on the wide part of the saddle and not the nose.
But if you're sure that you're sitting on the saddle correctly, and the numbness doesn't go away, then you probably need to get a new saddle. A good LBS should help you find the right saddle, but it may take a few iterations to get it correct, so check to see what kind of saddle program your LBS has.
