My Paramount has the classic Cinelli racing bars - sort of equivalent to modern compact but they come further back and they don't have the comfy ramps to go with brifters. My Super Sport has the GB rando handlebars, with big hoops and a big flare. I much prefer the latter. I have put compacts on my XR800 and if I ever finish that project I'll report back.
