Bars before the mid-80s were all round in the drops.

Ergo bars use some tighter bends & and flat sections, and are designed to give a nice flat section before the brifters, but also have tight bends below the shift/brake lever.

Modern classic bars have a sharp bend at the shifter, but have a roundish curve on the drops.
