My B17N definitely measures a little wider at all of those points, probably because it's unlaced. I tried really hard to capture these without compressing the saddle at all with the calipers:
@ nose tip: 40mm
@ 70mm: 48mm
@ 100mm: 57mm
That said, I think the really critical zone for thigh rub is the 150-200mm area where the saddle flares out to the front of the cantle plate. I've got 76mm at the 150mm point, where my (also unlaced) B17 Standard measures 88mm. Hope this helps.
Thank you, it sounds like B17 & B17N pretty much the same in front half. I've never measured noses of other saddles since prev problems weren't in that part. Brooks saddles, just by looks, would seem to have narrow noses but perhaps that's a false impression due to the often pronounced Y-shape. But B17N might work for me anyway & at least there's Ebay.
