A wheel upgrade might be the best bang for your buck right now, removing 200g or more of rotating weight in my experience sure FEELS a heck of a lot faster :-)

I was told about lightening up my wheels ,but at my weight I thought it wouldn't be a better idea ,plus I posted on here about wheels and was told that it would only gain 0.06 mph more ,,to me that's not worth the $$$$$ but maybe I'm wrong
.I can avg 17.7 mph on my rides but when I ride the gain I drop ,but I guess that's just physics , just wanted to upgrade n was disappointed to hear that the defy 3 couldn't be seems kinda raw after what I payed for it .but I'm still a novice compared to more seasoned rider on here , I guess that's what makes us better when we strive to stop getting beat on hills by lighter riders ,
