As a seller you pray that those types of people will bid on your stuff. I do my research (as I'm sure you do) and if it gets close to what my LBS is selling it for then I let that one go and look for another. I would also add here that you really need to check the shipping on an item before you place a bid. I've been burned on that before. "It's a wheel, how much can that cost to ship?" Heh, you'd be surprised.
Your point, BIgtime is right on. I saw someone bid $197 on a Trek 820. After adding the posted shipping, of $50, the bike costs $247. The same bike sells for under $240 at an LBS, brand new and fully tuned. It drives me crazy. Don't these people know what their buying?
