Hey all, I need some help convincing my parents into allowing me to buy a road bike. I'm 17 and really interested in biking. I had a bike when I was younger, but was only allowed to ride it around the block. I live in a city and suburban area. My dad says that its too dangerous to bike in my neighborhood but it is okay to bike in the city and if I really want to bike in the city, I could rent a citi bike. I don't understand his theory, I plan on biking and exploring NYC and joining annual tours. Help me convince my parents!
