Afraid I know nothing about Kroil.

What fork do you have? On high-end forks one is supposed to change out the bath oil on a regular schedule. "Bath oil" is just some oil that is inside the fork legs to slosh around and keep things lubricated. I try to change mine once a season. There's actually a maintenance schedule that goes along with my fork, but I'm not very good at following it to the letter, but once a season is something I can remember.

For the stanchions I use Finish Line Stanchion Lube. Small bottle. High price. Sometimes I'm not sure whether the effect is real or placebo, but it's all good fun.
