Torque values for installing a Stronglight 93 Crankarms on a new BB
I'll be using a digital torque wrench to install a Stronglight 93 crankset on a new Velo Orange BB.
My research indicates that I should tighten to 25 Newton Meters or about 18.4 foot pounds.
I'm uncertain is this is the correct value and if the crank taper should be cleaned and lubed or just cleaned, without any lube.
This is a used vintage crank and I don't want to under torque it. I don't want to over torque it either, and I've already removed one cracked Stronglight crankarm that was installed by someone else.
What prep and torque level do you recommend?
