I truly believe that the vast majority of issues with drivers are simple mistakes that everyone makes driving. Yes they're more dangerous when it involves a bike, but no more egregious mistake than the same ones made when cars are involved instead of bikes.

One thing I've decided: It's not offensive to me, nor dangerous, if a driver makes me use my brakes. That's what they're for. And, I have to use my brakes for other drivers all the time when I'm driving.
That's a great attitude.
One things for sure, if you go out angry and looking for a fight, I'm 100% sure you'll find one.

Road rage is a waste of time, is immature because it shows you can't control yourself or express feelings in a civil manner.
Anyone that is raging should know themselves and simply not drive or ride. That would be the true sign of an adult.

Shift your thinking. Don't play the victim. Don't get sucked into the negativity of raging on the streets.

Clear thought and communication, as well as courtesy and defensive driving are hallmarks of an adult.
Well raised children can even exhibit far better behavior than many adults.

Next time you're raging, just listen to your inner voice that is saying, "You are being an idiot. You know better. You have enough brainpower to be able to find mature options."
Short of that, you are also an ambassador of every other cyclist that will now be branded by your behavior.
