They made me pay to ship the wheels too and fro and I felt like no problem was solved except my wallet was about $40 lighter. When I ran my fingers on the rim, they did feel kind of sharp so I sanded them down just a smidge.
Happened on the Enves I guess it was more like 2-3 weeks ago same tires, Vittoria Evo Corsa Cx . Happened a long time ago with the Zipps maybe 1 or 2 years ago now. I switched back to Continue Gp4000s on the Zipps, and out of curiosity inspected them after the Enve blowout and they were fine. I concluded it was the soft sidewall and cotton casing on the Vittorias that must be the issue. The Contis have a Vectran or Kevlar casing that I think is stronger and holds up to the sharper edge on the carbon clincher. Maybe the Schwalbes have the same problem.
That's a bad problem, and I am sorry to hear about it. Schwalbe says on their website that they use only nylon casings, which would be much more durable than cotton, but not bullet proof.
