First the "joker" equation in the game. Manufacture's recommended or "inflate to" pressure range! "80-115 lbs."
The following are three different reputable calculator recommended weight based PSI for me with a 60/40 R/F weight distribution:
109/71
108/69
110/70
So at least they are fairly consistent despite different sources.
I just started out from the bike shop with their SOP 100 psi front and rear for the brand tire and haven't gotten around to adjusting since getting the new tires about two weeks ago. (Yes I inflate before each ride.)
So as you can see according to manufacturer I'm within "limits, but according to calculators I'm way high on the front and a bit low on the rear.
Before my next ride or Friday or Sunday I'll decide what pressure to adjust tires to be. I've done a couple of centuries the past two weeks and I can say that according to what my hands are telling me 100psi is definitely too much pressure for the front.
I'm a little gun shy about the front tire as I've got two flats in a short period on the old 25c at recommended calculated pressures with one causing me a spill with a lot of hurt/damage and I was lucky it wasn't worse. (Neither were pinch flats, though.)
