Screw the 7D, get a 7D2, the sensor and AF enhancements are worth it.

Or buy my 1d3 and I'LL get a 7D2, I need a little more reach for soccer. My wife doesn't know it yet but that new 100-400 is dangerously close to going in the shopping cart. 7D are still nice cameras though, just not as good at higher ISOs as new bodies. A good plan would be to get the 7D now and get a 7D2 (or 3) when your kids finally start doing indoor sports or ballet or volleyball or whatever. You know, dungeon lighting.
