We tell our juniors that everything that can be bent should be bent and kept loose: waist, shoulders, elbows, wrists, fingers.

I would add that I stretch every day. But on the bike. Every ride, make yourself get lower and flatter than you normally would, and hold it there. Remember to keep everything bent and loose.
