Early in the morning when its still dark out, I skip the jerseys and just go with the Armour Compression tops. Otherwise during the day, I evaluate the weather and its effect on the ride. I'll choose the clothing with that in mind. That means I go with sleeveless triathlon jerseys as well.
On the subject of sleevless tri jerseys, I ran into a group of 4 triathletes last week and while I had on my short sleeve jersey, every last one of them had a sleeveless jersey AND a set of white arm covers designed to be worn with a short sleeve jersey. They all had sun damaged shoulders. Quite strange.
