Bikes: Many

The one century I rode was a staggered start (any time between 7:00 and 9:00) so the times when I saw most people was at the start as everyone was getting ready to ride, at the rest stops, and at the meal at the end.

The food was enough to give me energy, but I did bring a few things with me just in case, including plenty of water (2 bottles, refilled a couple of times) and orange juice (it doesn't work well for some, but I love it!).

I would only change one thing, and that is to have one of my bottles with a dilluted energy drink, and powder to refill with at the rest stops.

I plan to complete at least one 100 miler this coming year, and it looks like I will do at least a couple on my Schwinn Suburban... There are a couple of Centuries in SE PA that I think are especially appropriate to ride on a vintage bike. (two of them cross several old wood covered bridges, one of them in Lancaster County, which is Amish territory).
