Retired, I dont live in a big city , I can throw my cape quickly over my head and rain falling from above is taken care of.
do have some rain pants thin ones from backpacking stores , had some mesh lined ones , hard to put on,
but the diamond gusset center, did hold up for months of cycle touring
have others 3 layer, fabric's lining and membrane delaminated from the shell fabric.
