Rear Hub Question - 87 Nishiki

Hi Everyone -

It seems like after 28 years of service, the rear hub on my 1987 Nishiki Prestige could be due for replacement. Wheel seems to spin ok, just not quite as freely as I would like and I'm just getting a bit of noise from the back that I've isolated to the hub. Bike certainly still rides fine, so I don't think I'll replace it immediately, I'm just thinking ahead.

Anyways, this is my first classic/vintage ride so I'm not sure if I can replace the hub with a modern one? Or do I need to hunt around for some NOS replacements? If I can replace it with a modern part that at least looks period correct, then obviously I'd like to go with that.

Thanks
