I'd take it for another few ride, you have like 4 weeks for the money back thing? Why be so rash on sending it back so quick, unless geo fit is all off. But seems like you tuned it out.
Rough riding has allot more to do with wheels, how they are built, spokes and tire w/ PSI a major factor. IMO 32h wheels are going to be stiff as hell and transmit allot of road feedback unless you air down a bit. Air down 3-5psi and see how it rolls.
I certainly would ride the bejesus out of it for the next week or two. And I wouldn't write off either Lynsey or Ti even if you send it back. I would write off the R240. BTW -- how heavy are you?
I have a steel rod bike and a Ti road bike. Very different bikes for different purposes. The steel ride is roomier, plush, smooth, and has a little more give. A mix of columbus. With the same build, about 22-23 pounds depending on wheels.
Ti bike is stiff, faster, a little smaller, and hurts after 70+ miles. 10% faster, sharper, more focused. Not at all flex and not at all rough, though I deliberately have the smoothest tires short of tubulars on there.
If the Lynsey were mine, I'd play with tires and tire pressure and see from there. Flex may be force, though if you have it on the Jamis it's not that.
