I have had the same bike for @ 11 years... North of Denver
Never seen a rust spot on anything.
Course I have a Aluminium Trek 7000 MTB hee hee

I would think if the bike was sitting in a puddle for years, yeah you might see rust, but Colorado is soooooo dry (and salt free), Even in the Winter it is bone dry here, hell they put dirt and rocks on the roads instead of salt.


OH YEAH... use WD40 to clean your bike! (not the chain, etc.)
