According to Spocalc, the Synergy 4mm offset rim would result in DS tension being 77% vs 56% for a non offset rim.
Another thing that helps is to use a thinner spoke on the NDS so that the spokes are in a "more similar" degree of elongation.
My typical rear wheel has 14/15 DB spokes DS and 15/16 DB NDS.
