Organized centuries are always fun around here, especially the ones put on by bike clubs. Some of the charity rides aren't sure what riders really need, so they end up going a bit overboard. I heard a lady at a rest stop on a metric century say: "It's not how many miles you ride, it's how many pounds you gain at the rest stops". Baking sheet after baking sheet of Cherry Crisp makes rest stops more adventurous than the actual ride sometimes.
BTW, that's "Foxy's Fall Century", and one of my favorites.
