I'm a bit worried as a I see a number of mentions of some Chorus items aren't compatible between 2014 and 2015 groupsets.

In addition, I can't work with a braze-on which seems the default ordering option, and will need to use a clamp. Are any of the Campy clamps going to work, presuming I just pick the right diameter (probably 32mm to use on my ~1-3/16" seat tube?
eg.

Note, my current 2003 Chorus FD is mounted to a Shimano brand clamp.. maybe it doesn't really matter and I can reuse this clamp.
A) You can most likely reuse your existing band braze mount. The things don't change much. You could have a bizzarro situation arise, but odds are that is small, especially since your current clamp works with older campag.

2) S2 is a fancy term for a bracing system for flexy braze on mounts-to stiffen them if they bend/distort under load if you need it. Odds are since you haven't said anything you don't need it. See campag document here page 5: http://www.campagnolo.com/media/file...ev02_02_15.pdf

There's not much need to worry about generational compatibility so long as you buy the whole 2015 group and don't go trying to mix and match shifters and derailleurs. I bought my whole 8-piece in one group off Ribble and it was smooth sailing-so long as you know what FD mount you need and what BB interface. Problems come in piece mealing orders together from individual parts pages which are poorly labeled as to which generation they are.
