I don't know your budget but there are usually a lot of take-off high end carbon forks available in 1" at different consignment bike shops and shops that have a more COOP parts bin feel to them. You could find a vintage TIME carbon fork or look for a Cannondale Slice or whatever.

On that 63cm C'dale how tall is your son?
I don't have a son. Not sure where you saw that, but it's for me. I am 6"2'
