Back in the early 80's when I was in college, my younger brother and I almost got our heads ripped off by an older (mid to late 70's?) rider when we mistakenly referred to his Bador as an ALAN.....BIG MISTAKE!!
He was so mad that he was literally shaking mad as he yelled at us "This is a Bador, not an ALAN! This is the lightest bike anyone can buy!" the manager at the LBS had to calm him down, otherwise I could see the guy was almost ready to grab his tire pump off the bike and give us young whippersnappers a good thrashing for being so clueless.....
Having gone through that weird experience, I had learned to be more patient with the less informed....
