I'm no spring chicken myself, but I would never assume the following things solely based on differences between someones age and mine: (1) I could fondle someone else's bike (or anything else) without permission first, (2) my wrenching knowledge is better than theirs, especially based on my previous racing exploits, and (3) my pronunciation of Italian bicycle names wouldn't send a wave of giggling throughout the gathered crowd.
