Exactly. A good coach will work the local group rides you want to do into the plan. And how you ride the group ride ( sit in, pull, attack) depends on how it fits in the overall plan.

And I may have to intervals before or after the group ride. All depends on where we're at in the plan, and what the goals are.

local group rides are one training opportunity. I wouldn't work with a coach who told me not to do any of them.
