Yes, it was a good illustration of the difference between a typical freewheel hub and a Shimano cassette hub. However, Campy uses an inboard bearing on the drive side of it's freehubs (Shimano had the outboard design patent) without problems by using an oversized axle to prevent bending and breaking. It's an inherently inferior design but works well.
