The Cavalo is nice. They also have a Fuji 1.3 on sale that I was looking at before. But then I'll be tempted to do what I don't want to do which is spend more money on a nice disc bike that I'll want to keep clean and perfect all the time since I'm like that. Maybe I'd be best off with getting some strap on Planet Bike Ez rain fenders for my Focus before I decide to get stupid haha
If you're talking about this bike (
Fuji Sportif 1.3 Disc Road Bike), that is the same bike as what Performance called the Fuji Sportif 1.3C - 2014. I have that bike. It does have mounts for fenders on both the rear and the front. The disc brakes are mechanicals. The Tiagra would be a lot better than the Claris, and a little better than the Sora. I have it, and I've enjoyed mine.
It has 700cx28mm tires, but it can easily support much bigger tires. The tiagra 4600 shifts fine. It just doesn't have the brake cables going under the wraps. It's a very good value bike, especially for under $600. I paid $800 for mine + tax in April.
If/when I decide to N+1, it will probably become a rain/commuting bikes.
