I think you are making an unwarranted assumption. Folks were willing to provide advice on a subject about which you know nothing. I don't think you should assume they are interested in your opinions on the subject, about which you still know nothing. When I lived in Florida, there was the saying "We don't care how you did it back in Minnesota."
