Martin A. from Ohio
I turned 50 last year and figured that I needed to take better care of myself. I began running and really started to enjoyed it. Then about 5 months later I started having problems. I pulled something in my left calf and had to limp my way back home. It reoccurred 2 different times. Finally I decided it would be best just to give up running altogether. I took my 20 year old Pepsi bike off the wall (that had about 20 miles on it) and started biking around my condo complex. It's an old 18 speed mountain bike so I replaced the old dry rotten tires with new road tires. Since then I've found a nice 4.2 mile lap out in the country side a mile or so from my home. I signed up with Runtastic when I first started and so far I've peddled 1990 miles. I'm debating on rather to purchase a new bike. But I'm just here for the exercise and don't see how a new bike would benefit me. On weekdays I bike an average of 10 to 20 miles at a time. On the weekends it's anywhere from 20 to 40 miles. It all depends on how sore my legs are. Have a great day everyone.
