I do most of my training rides before work. 3 days a week, I leave the house at 6:20-6:30, drop my bag at work, and head out to a quiet sector of the bike trail to do my thing. My wife is the one who gets the kids ready for school. She has her own consulting business so she's able to set her own schedule most days. On days when she has an early client meeting, I do some juggling--either lunchtime ride or just skip it altogether. I can't have a training plan that's so rigid that it doesn't have a little flex in it.
