Sorry I missed this thread earlier. I use those racks with my 20-inch tired Dahon Speed TR all the time. No problem. You'll want to take care of the derailer location and perhaps the brakes but that would be the case regardless of tire size. I put the rear on the side opposite the flip over handle and just take car not to mash the flip over handle against the brakes.
