The asymptote at 10% comes from:
10% weight loss ==> 10% climbing improvement.
And, as others have mentioned, less benefit on the level, giving the nice curve.

This implies that fitness is the same. No increase in strength/fitness from exercise, or loss of it from loss of muscle.
