Thanks for all the advice. British Airways is certainly competitive.

Interesting thing is, the return fair (~$1,500) is about as cheap as a one-way fare.

Even though I am staying longer, it seems safer at this point to book us all in as a return fare travelling together on the same flight so we arrive in England together.

Then I would pay one-way back to the US on short notice (at a premium I'm sure) when I finish my trip.

Is there any downside to doing this?
